Mackerel Petai

Main Ingredients

  • 1 can Ayam Brand™ Mackerel in Tomato Sauce
  • Cooking coconut oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 1 large onions, chopped
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • ½ bowl of AYAM™ Petai in Brine
  • 1 tbsp AYAM™ Tamarind Puree
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp chilli powder
  • ½ cup plain water
 

Method

  1. In a pan, pour the coconut oil. Add ginger, onion and garlic. Cook until slightly golden.
  2. Sprink the chilli powder and add in the tamarind juice.
  3. Pour ½ cup water in the mixture.
  4. Pour the entire can of Mackerel in Tomato Sauce. Mix slowly without breaking the fish.
  5. Add in the sliced tomato.
  6. Pour in ½ bowl of petai and season salt. Let it simmer.
  7. Serve all together in a dish.
