Texas Beef Burgers

Ingredients
Burger Patty
- 1.5kg beef mince
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon jalapeno chillies, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon chillies, finely chopped
- 1 tablespooon red onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons parsley, finely choppped
- 2 tablespoons coriander, finely chopped
- ½ cup Panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon AYAM™ Sweet Soy Sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Burger Assembly
- Extra virgin olive oil
- 400g Monterey jack cheese, sliced or grated
- Tomatoes, sliced
- Oak leaf lettuce
- Pickled cucumbers
- 6 burger buns
Method
- Preheat gas BBQ to a medium high heat
- Mix all of the burger patty ingredients, until roughly combined
- Roll patty mix into 6 balls and flatten out to make patties
- Drizzle olive oil on the flat plate of the gas BBQ
- Sear burger pattied until golden brown on each side and cooked all the way through, about 5-7 minutes on each side
- Before serving, add sliced or grated cheese and allow to melt on top
