No Nasties

AYAM™ has banned genetically modified ingredients, preservatives, added MSG and trans-fat in all AYAM™ products.

Quality

AYAM™ selects only cold oceans' mackerel. Living in the extreme cold condition makes them fattier, juicier and richer in Omega 3. Mackerel oil may appear on the surface of the sauce in the form of white particles, depending on the storage temperature and dissolves once heated.

Safe Foods

AYAM™ Sardines and Mackerel are produced under HACCP and ISO 9001:2008 certifications.

Sustainable Food

Sardines and mackerels are classified as sustainable fish.

Black Bean Claypot

Ingredients

  • 1 cup long grain rice
  • Water, as necessary
  • ½ tube soft egg tofu, lightly fried
  • 1 dried mushroom, soaked and sliced
  • 1 tsp of AYAM™ Dark Soy Sauce
  • 1 can of Ayam Brand™ Sardines in Black Bean Sauce

Garnish:

  • Thin omelet from one egg, finely sliced
  • 2 stalks spring onion, cut into 1/2 inch lengths

Method

  1. Cook rice in the clay pot with sufficient water. Normally 1 cup of rice will need 1.5 cups of water.
  2. When the water is boiling, stir once and lower the heat.
  3. When you can see holes on top of the rice, place in sliced mushrooms, the tofu and the black bean sardines on top. Then add in the dark soy sauce over everything in the claypot.
  4. Cover the pot until the rice is fully dry. Once dry, turn off the fire and let it rest on top of the stove for a 2 to 3 minutes
  5. As a tip, you can cook the rice in a rice cooker before preparing the claypot.

Presentation:

  1. Garnish with omelet and spring onions.
